ICE AGE
It's the end of the world as we know it ... and I feel fine (think this
was an REM song, but that is all I felt when I was done watching this
movie. I felt like the squirrel, still missing the acorn!
The animation on the movie is cool, but it is a pretty week story line,
very predictable. There are some cute seens when another wooly mammoth
thinks she is a possum. The movie still stars the friends Manny (the
woolly mammoth), Sid (the sloth) and Diego (the saber-toothed tiger)and
the story is about the end of their world when they discover that a
massive glacial dam is about to break. At any time the valley—and all
its inhabitants—could instantly become submerged. The group embarks on a
journey to the other side of the basin where there's said to be a "ship"
that can keep them alive. (think this could be a Biblical reference to
Noah's ark?)
There are lots of comments that really don't need to be in there, and
overall the movie has such a poor plot that the weather should be really
bad before you sit down and watch, or you watch the movie with one of
those edited
DVD
players from Clearplay! There just is no need for some
of the references!
