	Julie Gattis, co-author of The McGraw-Hill Homeschooling Companion, lives in Wendell, North Carolina with her husband, Mike, and their 4 children. She fell in love with the idea of homeschooling before the birth of her first child nearly 14 years ago, and her children have never attended school. When she's not busy with her family, Julie works as a cardiac care unit nurse, and writes. Her work has appeared in Home Education Magazine, and her first book, The McGraw-Hill Homeschooling Companion has recently been released.
